Welcome to my website. Please note 'Galleries' section is currently under construction and images are being added on a regular basis.
My interest in all aspects of photography goes back for well over 40 years.
Since buying my first digital camera in 2003 I have moved completely to digital photography and enjoy all the opportunities that digital technology gives us. I especially enjoy printing images, and print up to A3+ for exhibitions and display.
I enjoy all photographic opportunities and especially like shooting during ‘The Blue Hour’, that wonderful time after sunset and before the sky completely darkens. Enhancing and manipulating images is an area I often explore, using various special effects to create unique images.
I hope you take the time to visit my galleries which, I trust, show how wide my interest in photography has become.
I am a keen member of Moray Camera Club based in Elgin, and I currently enjoy being the club's 'Projected Image Competition Secretary'. Through the winter months I give talks on digital photography and travel slideshows to various groups throughout the Moray and Banffshire area. Judging competitions for other camera clubs in the North East also keeps me busy.
If there are any pictures that interest you, either in how they were created, or especially if you would like to purchase a copy, please feel free to contact me via the Contact page. I would also welcome your comments on the site and my images.
Thank you,
Alan Butterfield.
